Hm, it such a good experience to walk that far.DSC00323 I went to Kirirom for the retreat with a group of my colleague, first we had two choice one to Sihanouk Ville and another for kirirom and boss let us vote for that I am the first who vote for Kirirom. Hey, such a big mistake :( . However, I did see a lot of good view at Chambak even i ll not go there again! My legs were hurt my shoulder hurt (I brought my mac with me) and every part of my body hurt! :((

Even my body hurt that much I still was able to dance in the evening! My colleague taught me about Madizon, and now I can get along with the other (I can say that I know how to dance now). That’s great next time at the wedding I ll not miss that. hehehe

Youth Festival in Takeo

24 12 2007

Hey, I just back from Youth Festival from Takeo last night. This festival was held for two days and two nights (December 22 -23). In this festival there were a lot of booth for exhibition but I can say that the place was a bit narrow, if it was bigger it would be very good. I went there for a mission not to join as a youth, I represented my NGO but I can say I did nothing much. The day was not going well but at night yes! I met many friends from Khmer OS Team let by Bong Chentra. They all great make me laugh alot and yes in here I would like to say thanks to you guys (Bong Kakda, Ratha, Vannak and Phearum). I hope to meet all of you again somedays. Oh, thanks to Bong Viirak phorng cos he is the one who let me know all those new friends. You know wat, it also my first time to go to karaoke (it was great but not much song to sing) but that night also make me tired cos I had to walk many times to get to the guest house.

At the second day I feel really boring n really wan to come back, as my wish i come back around 4.30 pm but still i got pp at 6.30 pm. I continued to go to soup with Pagna n Sis. Cheata, haha great (មកដល់ផ្ទះអត់ទាន់ចូលទេ ដើរតបន្តិចទៀតសិន). And in the night i had a very very good sleep cos m very tired n until today my legs still hurt :( .

Meeting at Sihanouk Ville

11 12 2007

Hey, I am now in Kompongsom. I come here for a meeting but just to observe a meeting in order to prepare a meeting for my organization. I will be very busy on that day! hm, but I think I will be able to handle that.

I come here I got a lot of experiene both on life and work. Ok, they’re having a meeting so I should stop by now to concentrate with them.

Water Festival

20 11 2007

Hmmmm, the water festival nearly approach. I don’t know where I shuold go yet. Any one have an idea? Last year I walked a lot at the noon and also at night too. You know what on the night it really crowded and my shoe broke at that time ដើរទាល់តែដាច់ស្បែកជើងណ៎! Feel ashame too but it’s good that it’s night if it in day time maybe I will stay still hiey.

This year wanna go to Siem Reap but maybe can’t go teh, cos no one go with me! Ok, I think I will read some books at home rather than go to see such a crowded place! If there are any parties I will be very glade to join. :D

Trip to Kampong Speu

30 10 2007

On Monday I went to Kampong Speu with Youth Network for Changes (YNC). YNC is a voluntary youth network and working to counteract these trends by facilitating dynamic social development in Cambodia’s poorest regions. The trip was to distribute some gifts for the orphans in orphan center in Kampong Speu province.

The trip is really wonderful, I laugh a lot during the trip. Nara and Pheara are a real DJ. Their act made the people on the bus happy and enjoy, they sang, they talked and they told joke stories.

When we arrived, we got a really warm welcome from the center owner. The place is very organized and the kids were ready.

After finishing pick up all the things needed for the kids and finishing the introduction. Professor Sambo Manara, which is the one of the motivation for YNC, reading the speech in order to open the program.

After that we choose a group of four or five people taking kids about five to ten kids to gather in different places. When I get a suitable place, I started to introduce them who I am and let them introduce one by one to make sure that they are not afraid me. One man coming to join with me and I forgot to know his name :P . We start talking to them about general things such as where is Angkor Wat allocated, how should you keep yourself clean somethings like that. Really regret that I cannot think of a lot of things to teach them but next time I promise to gather all the information needed to talk to them. Oh! I really appreciate those kids, they quiet smart and honest (maybe the head of the center provided them a lot of good care).

This is the kids in my group. They look smart, don’t they?

Then we went back to the same place with all of the kids. We sang songs together and after the song Professor started to ask them some questions and gave them gifts (book, pen, pencil, sweets….)

Next, two group of kids come to show us the Khmer dance Robam Kus Tralork and Robam Chun Por. Another group of kids showing the comedian to us. They performed a good show, it’s really interested.

When finish all the performance, we leaved them and continue to Kirirom Resort in order to have lunch there. After lunch I took some walks with a group of friends (neak na mean ku ke tov teang ku ta khom ort mean ku te cheng teal ta tov teang group). After walk, I went back and playing card with Bong Virak, Bong Tyta and his wife Bong Mono, Bong Phina, Pu Saren, Nara. Even I didn’t win but I feel happy.

Then we went back to PP, really really tired but still Nara and Pheara tried to perform their roles by making all of us happy until we arrived PP.

It’s quite a long post, but to sum up I got a happy time and feel really good. It was a small thing that I provide to the kids but still I did something really good and hope one day YNC will change the situation of our countries become better. You done a good job guys!
